Messinia is well-connected, and relatively easy to access, whether via air, sea, or road.  The region is served by Kalamata International Airport, which offers direct flights to Athens and other European cities, as well as a port with ferry connections to other parts of Greece. Messinia is also easily accessible by car, approximately a 3 hour drive from Athens.
